 Protect Missouri's Peace Officers

The NLEOMF has begun a Drive Safely campaign to decrease law enforcement deaths on our roadways. In 2005, Missouri lost seven officers to line of duty deaths. Four of those were traffic related deaths. Missouri has a state statute that requires motorists on four lane highways to move to the opposite lane for emergency vehicles displaying emergency lights and to slow their speed. On two lane roadways, the law requires motorists to slow down and proceed with caution. Many motorists in Missouri are ignoring this law! MPOA members are encouraged to get the message out in their communities about this law and to enforce it! Members are also encouraged to visit the NLEOMF web site at http://www.nleomf.com/  to learn more about this very important campaign. Missouri's "Move Over" law and the NLEOMF Drive Safely campaign can save lives!

The Missouri Peace Officers Foundation is again holding spring and fall golf tournaments to raise funds to provide support for families of fallen law enforcement officers in the state of Missouri and help fund the MPOF college scholarship program.
