Police Officer - Claycomo Police Department

The Village of Claycomo currently has an opening for the position of Police Officer. This opening is immediate and will be filled as soon as possible. TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  Starting Salary for Full Time is $49,500 plus opportunities for overtime and holiday pay. Every other weekend off with a 12-hour scheduled rotation Day Shift Patrol 0600-1800 or 0700-1900/Night Shift Patrol 1800-0600 or 1900-0700. Part Time/Reserve Starting Pay is $20.00 per hour unless you are covering a shift for a full time officer at which time will be $23.80. If a part time officer or reserve officer works a holiday they will get time and a half pay..

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must be at least twenty-one years of age at time of appointment with a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Missouri driver’s license, with no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions. Applicants must pass an oral interview, a complete background investigation, and a pre-employment drug screening examination. Preferred- Missouri Class A POST License but the Village of Claycomo will send a candidate through the police academy as long as they sign a 3-year employment contract with the village.
